About Katherines Court

Katherine's Court is a beautiful home located in a gated community in the Derby Area. As you approach the house, you'll find a designated parking space and a sizeable garage. The ground floor consists of a bathroom and a laundry room that leads out to the garden. The garden features stunning decking and trees that give a sense of natural shade. The first floor boasts an open plan kitchen and dining area , that connects to the living room, and on the second floor are two staff bedrooms, one of which also functions as an office, a bathroom, and a young person's bedroom with built-in wardrobes.

All shared areas of the house are accessible to young people, however in the interest of privacy and confidentiality, the staff bedrooms and office are locked at all times.

We understand that moving into a residential home can be a difficult and sometimes overwhelming experience. We strive to make our young people feel as comfortable and at home as possible, and we believe that everyone should be able to personalise their space.

We encourage every child to make their bedroom their own, from putting up pictures of their family and friends to painting the room. We also invite them to help decorate other shared areas of the house, such as the living room and garden. We believe that this helps them to become more settled, and to develop a sense of belonging and ownership in the home.

At Katherines Court, creating a welcoming and positive environment is our top priority. Our staff are all trained to be friendly and approachable, and to provide a safe and secure home for all of our young people. We also strive to create an atmosphere of acceptance and respect, where everyone can feel comfortable to express their views and beliefs.

Katherines Court is currently one of our supported living facilities that can be used as either a solo or shared placement for young people aged between 16-18 , who may have emotional or behavioural difficulties.
